Create the text box

Firstly create a text box, click in the properties box and select dynamic text. Choose the multi line option in the line type box. When you have drawn your text box click:

Text > Scrollable.

Now resize the box so that not all the text is visible on the screen.

Adding a scrollbar

When your text is entered give this text an Instance Name "mytext". Open the Components Panel by clicking on: Window > Components. Drag and drop the scroll bar into your document.

Linking the scrollbar

Finally select the scroll bar, in the parameters tab click inside the scrollTargetName field, and type the instance name of the text created before, in this example the instance name is "mytext".
